Are the materials used in the manufacture of Verdonce bags sustainable?
Yes. 100% sustainable.
We use natural jute, cotton and linen to make our produce bags. Jute is a natural fibre and meets all the conditions an ecological and sustainable material. It is a rain fed crop, that doesn’t require irrigation. The production process uses little water, fertilzers or pesticides. It is fully biodegradable and you can compost it leaving a minimal carbon footprint. Cotton and linen are also plant based, natural materials. Likewise they are biodegradable and you can recycle or compost.
How many bag sizes do you have? What about their capacity?
We produce 3 sizes of jute bags and currently one size cotton and linen bag.
The approximate capacity of each bag is as follows:
- Small jute bag: 4 pears, 3 onions, 4 tomatoes, 2 bananas. Max. 500gr of legumes or dried fruit.
- Medium jute bag: 7 pears, 5 apples, 5 onions, 6 bananas, 9 tomatoes, 8 carrots. Max. 1.500gr.
- Large jute bag: 10 pears, 8 apples, 8 onions, 9 bananas, 12 tomatoes, 12 carrots. Max. 2.500gr.
- Cotton & Linen bag: One round rustic loaf, 12 – 25 pastries (Danish, cup cakes, croissants,…) o Max. 3kg of legumes, flour, oats or dried fruits.

Each and every Verdonce bag is handmade in Spain for you with love.
How am I helping the environment by using Verdonce bags?
Each time you use one of our ecological and biodegradable bags means 50 plastic bags less per year. If you use 10 Verdonce bags, by the end of the year you will have avoided 500 plastic bags entering your home or being released into the environment. This is a great way you can make a positive contribution that will have a big impact over time.
What type of produce can be put into the bags?
Use your Verdonce bag however you want! They are great for buying in bulk but you can also use them to store accessories, wrap gifts, pack clothes when traveling, carry your personal hygiene products, …
Orders and shipments
Is your packaging free from plastic?
Yes. We ship all orders in cardboard boxes or envelopes. These can be recycled and / or reused. We ship larger shipments in boxes and smaller shipments in cardboard envelopes to reduce paper usage to the maximum. To seal the packages we use only paper adhesive tape which is a much more sustainable alternative to the use of plastic tape.
Do you ship abroad?
Yes. We can send your package anywhere in the world.
Do you accept returns?
Yes. You can request an exchange or return your products for a full refund within 14 days of receiving your order. Please contact our customer services in the by email email@example.com
What payment methods do you accept?
You can pay online using your debit or credit card (VISA, MasterCard, American Express). You can also pay using Paypal.
Are payments secure?
Yes. We use encryption to process your payments with our industry leading payment partners. We do not store card details on our system because these are never sent to us! Please get in touch if you have any doubts.
Can I cancel my order after paying?
Yes. In the event that the cancellation of the order is made before the departure of goods you will not incur any expense and will get a full refund. In the event of cancellation after the shipping of your order, follow the standard returns process after receiving your order.
