100% Organic Cotton (GOTS) & 100% recycled cotton (GRS)

Each washcloth is carefully crafted from the finest sustainable materials. One side is made from a sumptuous and absorbent GOTS certified organic cotton. The other side consists of 100% recycled cotton for added strength and durability. Recycled cotton is highly sustainable because we upcycle cotton that already exists, breaking it down and spinning new yarns. This means 0% water usage, 0% chemical products and far lower CO2 emissions.

Social impact

We sew the Verdonce washcloths ethically in Madrid. This means that we work with local workshops as part of a social project giving women in vulnerable situations a step up into the workforce. This means that behind each stitch there is a person working in dignified conditions, who receives a fair wage for her labour and has the chance of a better future.

Transparency

We source our GRS certified recycled cotton from a local mill so we have complete transparency in our supply chain. We design here in Madrid, and then transform these innovative textiles into beautiful items for your home in our local workshops. This means total traceability and transparency at every step of the production process.
