This reusable recycled cotton produce bag is ideal for replacing single use plastic and paper bags in your home. Use it to buy unpackaged dry food from bulk bins such as pasta, grain, rice, legumes, dried fruit and nuts.

We often use a large one for buying bread at our local bakery. The baker says it keeps bread fresher for longer as it allows it to transpire when storing.

Each bag is carefully crafted by hand in Spain from the finest sustainable material. Rest assured in the knowledge that you are supporting local artisans with a full guarantee of decent working conditions.

At the end of its life this cloth bag can be recycled again or composted.

Capacity

The small size is ideal for small unpacked items like cinnamon sticks and seeds (hemp, flax, sunflower, pumpkin). The medium bag is great for bulkier items or larger quantities such as rice, quinoa, oats and flour. We usually use the large size to buy and store a loaf of bread or larger quantities of pasta due to their capacity. The large bags are great for freezing bread at home for those who like make their own bread in batches and freeze it for the week ahead.

Other uses

As well as food, pack lunches and snacks, we find these bags are ideal for storing or carrying personal hygiene products, accessories, shoes, utensils, and clothes pegs. We often take them camping as they are great for packing and keeping together essential kit like an AeroPress or V60 filter and coffee grinder!

Washing & care

Wash by hand or on the gentle cycle at a maximum of 30º c. As this is a natural material it can shrink a little on first wash. Steam iron while damp for a perfect finish.

Packaging

We ship in unbleached cardboard boxes which can be reused or recycled. To seal the packages we only use paper adhesive tape which is much more environmentally friendly alternative to regular plastic adhesive tape.
